Curtis was the daughter of Carmencita Ojales from Bolinao Pangasinan in Australia as well as James Ernest Curtis Smith an Australian lawyer born on the 25th of July 1970, at Yarrawonga. Her father was married in 1982. married Ojales. Jasmine her younger sister also is an actor. Clare is one of their cousins at the day of father's death. Clare passed away at 4 months of age in 2007 after suffering from an illness of the heart.
